We're a Birmingham-area site civil consulting firm — engineering, surveying, planning, and design under one roof. That means the survey crew, the design engineer, the landscape architect, and the 3D visualization team all work off the same file, and you make one phone call instead of four. Our staff of 100+ includes licensed Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors running 13 survey crews, with engineering licensure in 11 states and surveying licensure in 6. Projects you've probably driven past: Buc-ee's in Leeds, Stadium Trace Village in Hoover, Church of the Highlands in Fultondale, the I-459 to US-280 westbound ramps.

In 2025, Gonzalez-Strength & Associates merged with LJA Engineering, an employee-owned firm with more than 2,200 employee-owners nationwide. For clients, nothing about the local relationship changes: same Birmingham-area office in Hoover, same engineers and surveyors, same phone number. What changes is what's behind them — a national bench of specialists in transportation, land development, surveying, and infrastructure that GSA can now bring to Alabama projects.
Gonzalez-Strength continues to operate under its own name, led by the same team clients have worked with for decades.
